Yves Aertssen has taken over as ceo of Aertssen Group from his father, Greg Aertssen.
Yves Aertssen has served as Aertssen Group’s co-ceo since 2018, working closely with Greg Aertssen to prepare for this evolution. Based in Antwerp, Belgium, Aertssen Group is involved in infrastructure, transport and crane services.
“Leading a company is never a solo effort. Especially in a family business, it is essential to make decisions together and build on a strong foundation,” said Yves Aertssen. “As the third generation, we have great respect for the work of those who came before us, and we are committed to passing on Aertssen Group in an even stronger position for the future.”
Yves Aertssen added: “My father, along with my uncles Raf Aertssen and Luc Aertssen and my aunt Saskia Aertssen, remains closely involved in the company. Their insights and experience are of immense value!”
Greg Aertssen, as executive chairman of the board, will continue to mentor and support the ceo and management team, contribute to strategic decisions, and represent the company.
Last week, Aertssen Machinery Services broke ground at its new Abu Dhabi warehouse.
