December 3 - Carisbrooke Shipping has appointed Heiko Hinrichs, formerly of Ocean 5, and Joschka Boeddeling, most recently of Jumbo Shipping, to its chartering desk.
James McConachie, chartering director at Carisbrooke Shipping, said the move will strengthen the line's project and multipurpose shipping commercial management capabilities. "Their respective appointments represent a very positive step in the continued development of our multipurpose (MPP) desk."
These appointments come hot-on-the-heels of Carisbrooke's newly signed commercial relationship with Singapore based broker Ambro-Projects, which will serve as the carrier's general sales agent for projects and breakbulk in Pacific Asia and Australia.
Ambro-Projects is headed by Jesper Traerup, formerly of Hansa Heavy Lift and Scan-Trans. McConachie added: "Linking-up with Mr. Traerup represents a very positive step forward in developing Carisbrooke's MPP presence in Pacific Asia. Knowledge-flow is key to effective decision-making within any organisation and Jesper has a significant history in both the MPP/breakbulk sector, and the Asian region in particular."
