Columbia Shipmanagement (Deutschland) has appointed Joachim Brack as finance and commercial managing director, effective February 1, 2019.
Brack, who will succeed Mads Soerensen, will be responsible for developing Columbia Shipmanagement’s client base in Europe.
He will work alongside managing director and group chief operating officer Carsten Sommerhage and technical director Pablo Mussi out of the company’s location in Hamburg.
Brack has held senior positions in a number of shipping companies, including head of finance at Lloyd Fonds. Most recently, he served as managing director of Hellespont Ship Management, overseeing the company’s change from KG owner to third-party manager.
