The UK’s Blyth Harbour Commission has appointed Paul Hardisty and Richard Turner as commissioners on the board that oversees the strategy and management of the port of Blyth.
The non-executive appointments, according to the commission, will contribute to the future growth of the port, with both Hardisty and Turner having extensive experience in offshore and renewable energies.
Hardisty is the former executive director at Royal IHC, and Turner is the current ceo at BEL Valves and non-executive director of the Offshore Wind Growth Partnership.
Appointed for an initial three-year term, Hardisty and Turner will pick up the offshore energy and renewables sector mantle from departing commissioner Dr Alan Lowdon, who has completed his term of office.
