Blue Water Shipping will open an office in Trinidad & Tobago to service the growing oil and gas sector in the Caribbean and the north-eastern region of South America.
“We see a growing demand for our services in this region, and it is a natural step for us to open an office in Trinidad, as it makes us able to service both existing and new customers with our wide range of logistics services,” according to Brent Patterson, Blue Water Shipping’s regional director for energy and projects Americas.
He added that the company would focus on complete project management of transport and logistics.
Last month, HLPFI reported that Blue Water Shipping had opened an office in Guyana.
From the offices in Guyana and Trinidad, Blue Water Shipping said that it would focus on maintaining and increasing the current client base. This will be done in close collaboration with other Blue Water offices specialising in project transport.
“We have been involved in a number of different energy and project-related transport and logistics assignments in the region in recent years. We are proud that our global expertise and experience have resulted in successful execution of these projects, as it shows that our set-up is flexible and reliable,” said Patterson.
Blue Water said that it would also cooperate with Peterson in Guyana and Trinidad. Maarten Spiljard, regional director at Peterson, added: “This partnership with Blue Water Shipping will ensure that our customers will benefit from fully embedded local services that are delivered according to international standards. Collectively we will utilise our strategic expertise and advanced technology to deliver the best possible solutions for our clients.”
