Blue Water Shipping has opened a warehouse close to George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston, USA.
“At Blue Water Houston, we cater supply chain solutions for our oil and gas, chemicals and renewables clients, ensuring their critical cargo arrives on time and in good condition. This location gives us the benefit of being close to key cargo handling points and mitigates the risk of losing valuable transportation time for our clients,” said Lucas Strom, regional director – Americas.
Located 5 miles (8 kms) from the airport, the indoor warehouse spans 35,041 sq ft (3,255 sq m) and features an outdoor laydown area for loading and unloading of cargo, line-item checking, packing and distribution and storage of materials and equipment. From the facility, the staff will handle various types of cargo, including in and out-of-gauge cargoes and breakbulk cargo for storage and transit operations.
Blue Water Houston said the facility is well-positioned to serve the Caribbean market. The company has strong activity in Guyana, Trinidad, and will shortly open an office in Suriname.
