Wallenius Wilhelmsen has nominated Rune Bjerke as vice chairman of the board, and plan for him to step up as chairman in 2021.
Håkan Larsson, current chairman of the board, will continue in the role until his term expires in 2021. Wallenius Wilhelmsen explained that it considers “a period of overlap between Larsson and his successor will benefit the company and the functioning of its board”.
If elected at the annual general meeting, which will be held on April 28, Bjerke will assume the role of vice chairman on June 18, 2020. He will join the company from DNB where he serves as ceo.
