Robert Biesterfeld will assume the role of ceo at C.H. Robinson, effective May 9, 2019, succeeding John Wiehoff.
Biesterfeld, currently chief operating officer, has worked for the logistics company for 20 years. Prior to becoming chief operating officer in March 2018, he served as president, North America surface transportation.
He has also been nominated to stand for election to the company’s board of directors.
Wiehoff will remain chairman of the board.
Scott Anderson, current C.H. Robinson board member, will become the lead independent director.
