Bertling has formed a partnership with United Logistics in Qatar.
United Logistics will bring its local partner and asset network, onsite logistics experience and Customs clearance solutions to the partnership. Bertling, meanwhile, offers its global network, project logistics/engineering background, IT solutions and its expertise in handling large-scale logistics projects in the oil and gas and energy sector.
The partnership official begins on April 1, 2021, from which point the two companies will jointly offer logistics solutions to their global clients, while exploring new business opportunities in the growing LNG industry and other expanding sectors in Qatar.
This is one in a series of recent moves made by Bertling to strengthen its position in the Middle Eastern market. In January 2021, Bertling and Al Khaldi established a joint venture – Al Khaldi-Bertling Logistics – to explore new and existing business opportunities in Saudi Arabia. The division is led by Adel El Said.
During February, Bertling appointed Mohammad Abdul Rauf as regional business development manager for its operations in the Middle East.
