USA-based Barnhart Crane and Rigging has acquired Madison, Illinois-based Bollmeier Crane, which provides rental services, equipment and associated personnel.
“For nearly 40 years, Bollmeier Crane has provided lifting services for some of the largest industrial customers in the region, including those in the steel manufacturing, oil and gas, and power generation industries,” explained Jeremy Hundelt, president and chief financial officer at Bollmeier Crane.
“Our loyal customer base will not only continue to receive the same quality service that they have for the past four decades but will see even greater benefits due to Barnhart’s nationwide footprint, its dedicated engineering and design team, expertise in project cargo logistics, and its own fleet of trucks, barges and specialised transporters.”
The deal is Barnhart’s second crane company acquisition in the St. Louis metro area this year, following the company’s purchase of Taylor Crane Rental in May.
Dan Webb, Barnhart regional director, added: “Together with our earlier addition of Taylor Crane Rental, bringing Bollmeier Crane into the Barnhart family solidifies our presence in the Midwest and gives our customers throughout Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Kentucky even better service and more options than ever before.”
