Wallem Group has appointed John-Kaare Aune as ceo on an interim basis following the resignation of Frank Coles.
Coles resigned from the position as ceo to focus on the welfare and rights of seafarers.
Aune, currently managing director of Wallem Shipmanagement, will take over the role until further notice, according to Wallem.
Nigel Hill, chairman at Wallem, said: “We would like to thank Frank for his drive and commitment over the past two and a half years. The events of the past 12 months have brought the daily lives and work of seafarers into sharp focus and we wish him well in his new endeavours on their behalf.”
