August 10 - The ASCO Group has acquired a Norwegian freight forwarder in a bid to target the local energy sector.
Sped>Partner is a Stavanger-based forwarder which provides services to oil-related businesses in Norway.
Richard Singer, ASCO Freight Management's managing director, said: "ASCO already has a strong business in Norway, with supply bases that service the whole of the Norwegian continental shelf.
"AFM can add value to that business as well as service our own client base."
ASCO Freight Management was formed in 2000 and operates out of Aberdeen, Houston and Singapore.
