The Southern Heavy Industrial Transport Society's Golf Society is set to rise, phoenix-like, from the ashes with a golf day in Surrey.
Following pressure from Shearwater Shipping's John Gliddon and Roehlig UK's Richard Jones; Ian Matheson, who now has time on his hands having sold HLPFI magazine back in January, has agreed to organise the next and future tournaments.
Striking whilst the iron is hot (no pun intended), Ian has provisionally booked Betchworth Park Golf Club on the North Downs in Surrey, UK, for the next competition.
If you like a round of golf (or spoil a nice walk in the countryside), why not come along and join the fun on July 25th.
Yes it is short notice, but further information about the day is available from Ian. Do let him know if you would like to participate via email: ian@impresscommunications.org or text to 07894 406762.
He is looking forward to a good turnout for this relaunch of the historic Golf Society, but numbers are limited so get in touch now if you are interested.
