Aneka and Edmond Van Dyck & Sons, two Antwerp-based freight forwarders, are merging their operations to create Steelduxx, a new entity that will be fully operational in 2020.
Led by five shareholders – Lou Appels, Conny Audenaert, Benoit Van Dyck, Laurent Van Dyck and Geoffrey Van Dyck – the merged organisation will bring together the personnel, customers and networks of both companies.
When fully operational, it will have offices, joint ventures and agents throughout Europe, in Southeast Asia, the Far East, the Middle East, Africa and Brazil.
According to Aneka and Edmond Van Dyck & Sons, the two companies handle approximately 1.2 million tonnes of steel per year. Their activities include import and export services, shipping, forwarding, warehousing, chartering, inland transportation and consultancy. Aneka, meanwhile, offers a full range of project cargo handling services.
