The launch of Ambercor Shipping by Gerald Hess heralds a return to independent operations for a senior transportation industry executive with 44 years of experience in project forwarding.
With offices already established in Toronto and Calgary, and another to open soon in the USA, Hess says that Ambercor has been established to provide support for forwarders, which do not have their own offices in North America, but have the need for a capable partner to handle their difficult cargoes in Canada and the USA.
Hess has teamed up with Marcel Hafemann and Christian Wagner, all three having recently left BNSF Logistics.
Readers may recall that Hess was a co-founder of Albacor Shipping, a project forwarding company which was acquired by BNSF Logistics in 2012.
