June 3 - Chartersphere is seeking to expand its business and recruit new staff after a brisk first year of trading.
Managing director Paul Bennett, who has more than 20 years experience in aviation, said he is now looking to boost his growing team of brokers at the company's headquarters in south west London.
As it begins a second year serving clients the charter specialist has been appointed sales agent for the newly-formed Armenian airline Veteran Avia which operates three B747-200Fs and two IL76 cargo aircraft worldwide, says Chartersphere. The planes are available for ad-hoc charters or long term leasing.
Mr Bennett began his career working for a cargo airline and went on to spend nearly two decades as a cargo broker in London and Dubai.
Since launching Chartersphere in 2010, Mr Bennett has drawn on his experience and international contacts in the industry to forge mutually beneficial links with carriers and charterers.
Mr Bennett said: "I am really pleased to be representing Veteran Avia particularly as I started my aviation career operating wide-bodied freighters and Ilyushins back in the early 1990s."
