June 23 - Begbies Traynor, the business rescue and recovery specialist, has been appointed as administrator of Liverpool-based Hunterstrong Engineering Limited, which traded as Northover Heavy Logistics.
The specialist heavy haulage and consultancy company, which was founded in 1991, entered administration earlier this month.
It operated across the UK and mainland Europe, offering heavy haulage, private escort, project management and machinery installation services.
The company's Operator's Licence was to have been revoked at the end of January 2014, although an appeal was immediately lodged leading to a suspension of the decision pending the outcome of the appeal.
However, the initial decision cast doubt over the future of the company and despite the appeal, the company lost a number of customers to competitors and also some key employees.
Despite every effort being made to maintain the business whilst the appeal was underway, the pressures proved too much to overcome and the decision to cease to trade was made by the Board.
Assets include a range of tractor units, light vehicles, trailers and specialist heavy load trucks.
Parties interested in purchasing the company's assets, or requesting further information, should contact Nicola Minshull at Begbies Traynor on 0161 837 1700.
