AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) will introduce a scheduled service to Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK) in Ohio, USA.
With its inaugural flight landing in Columbus, Ohio on April 5, 2018, the weekly scheduled flights will utilise ABC's fleet of Boeing 747 freighters.
The service will transport cargoes from the airline's global hub in Moscow, before returning to its Russian base via Liege, Belgium.
"With a view to continue expansion of our footprint in the USA, Columbus has been on the radar of our business interests for quite a while," said Sergey Lazarev, general director for ABC.
According to Lazarev, its proximity to distribution centres of various companies is one of the main strengths of the airport, as well as its ground handling infrastructure and centralised location in North America.
