Norway-based Wilson has entered an agreement with Rhenus Maritime Services regarding the purchase of ships and contract portfolio to strengthen its European presence.
As part of the deal, Wilson will buy six dry cargo vessels and take over a smaller number of vessels on a short-term lease. After the transaction, Wilson will also take care of a contract portfolio that will complement Wilson’s existing presence in the area.
The agreement secures Wilson’s capacity so that the company is well equipped to serve European industry in the future.
The agreement is expected to be completed during 2021/start of 2022.
