Russia’s Volga-Dnepr Group signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) to provide logistics and air cargo services for the UAE’s satellite programme.
The deal was signed by Salem Al Marri, deputy director general of MBRSC, and Artemiy Ivanovskiy, general manager of Volga-Dnepr Group’s Dubai office, in the presence of Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani, director general of MBRSC at the Dubai Airshow 2021.
Founded in 2006, MBRSC is home to the UAE National Space Programme. The centre builds and operates earth observation satellites, offering imaging and data analysis services.
