Tadano has completed the USD215 million acquisition of the Demag mobile crane business unit.
The Demag mobile cranes business will be rebranded as Tadano Demag and led by Jens Ennen who, effective immediately, takes on the role of ceo.
Post-acquisition, the Tadano Group’s total lifting equipment line now includes more than 80 models, including rough-terrain cranes, all-terrain cranes, lattice and telescopic boom crawler cranes and truck cranes.
Tadano will offer eight lattice boom crawler crane models with lifting capacities ranging from 400 tonnes to 3,200 tonnes, as well as all-terrain units with a maximum payload up to 1,200 tonnes.
“The Tadano Group’s strategy is to become the global leader in the lifting equipment industry and the premier choice with our customers," said Koichi Tadano, president and ceo of Tadano. "The Demag mobile cranes acquisition is one vital step toward achieving that goal."
